The Playful Cottage Preschool is founded by an experienced, credentialed teacher with over 13 years of classroom experience in early elementary and secondary education, as well as formal training in educational leadership.

Hello! I’m Clare K. Throughout my career, I’ve worked with children across grade levels and have seen firsthand how meaningful learning happens when children feel safe, connected, and genuinely curious. My background in curriculum and instruction allows me to thoughtfully create learning experiences that are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and rooted in play — not pressure.

As a parent, I wanted to create a preschool that feels calm, joyful, and intentional — a place where children can explore music, early science, and creativity in a way that feels natural and fun. The Playful Cottage Preschool is being built with care, guided by both professional experience and a deep respect for childhood.
